Fishing Spot & Picnic Area
     Set along a perennial stream underneath a cliff and surrounded by White Stinkwood trees, this serene spot is the proper place to enjoy nature and all that it has to offer. Whether for a picnic, camping or swimming during the summer months, the Fishing Spot is an old favourite of the people of Goedehoop. It is perfect for a day outing with family and friends. Fishing is allowed and amongst the normal freshwater fish species, the yellow fish is encountered in the deep pools of the stream.

Rustic Picnics
     We invite you to enjoy a true farm style picnic around the homestead on Goedehoop under the shady trees or elsewhere at one of the rustic spots in the Conservancy. Our standard picnic basket contains assorted cold meats or chicken, salads, pâté, cheese, biltong, fruits and of course a bottle of wine to go with. Bookings for a Rustic Picnic basket should be made at least one day in advance.
Please note that no private picnics, braais, music or pets are allowed near the Goedehoop Homestead. Alternative arrangements can be made for picnics elsewhere in the Conservancy.
