The founding of the Ghoya Africa Conservancy created a much-needed opportunity to create a chance for the local communities to alleviate themselves from poverty. In establishing the facilities in the Conservancy, use is made of local people and their skills. Local people are also involved in the training programs of Free State Nature Conservation to provide wardens for the Conservancy. Northern Free State Tourism also provided training for the personnel of the Goedehoop Guesthouse and the other facilities. |
